Yesterday I posted a full breakdown of the Joint Partyroom ETS split.
Since that time, I have been inundated with emails and phone calls. “Why did X vote this way?” “But I thought Y was opposed”. And so on.
So. I present to you a handy summary of who did what and why. I have not had time to compile all the necessary information do a full list, so a few people are missing. Similarly, I have not had a chance to write up the background as to why individual choices were made. This will come in time.
But I think you will all find this summary useful.

Where is Mirrabella

Mirabella did not speak at the meeting as she is Shadow cabinet.
She has, however, just resigned from the front bench.

I don’t think there is such a theory as anthropomorphic global warming. It’s anthropogenic.

This will be the re-emergence of the Coalition. Fighting a for less tax not more. Fighting for the individual to be free to succeed without this sort of intrusion. The next election will be lost to Rudd but the Coalition is now (finally) back on that road of principle, conviction and of purpose. Fighting for the forgotten people.

I live in Susan Ley’s electorate (formerly Tim Fischers and was National for a long time). I have emailed her a few times warning her that this electorate is strongly against an ETS. She replied that it was Liberal party policy and that the majority in the electorate support her.
Im a bit sorry for her. She will be gone at the next election, to a National Party member.
And now I see she supports it for political ambition, not due to belief, or even for her electorate, but for ambition. I thought better of her.

Where is David Johnstone in all this?

Why am I not surprised to see most of the names on the True Believers list?
Shame on those who voted for it because of ambition – you’d destroy the economy and lead us further on the road to big government in order to suck up to Turnbull?

Concetta Fierravanti-Wells tendered her resignation.

[...] not to the party, but rather only to himself. And when he walked out of a partyroom meeting that overwhelmingly opposed the ETS, declaring he did not care what the partyroom thought, that was the final straw. For in doing so he [...]
